Project: Washington Park House

Location: Denver, CO

Supplier: Infloor Heating Systems

In March, we stopped by an Infloor installation that we call the Washington Park house, located in a Denver neighborhood. And what we were looking for was located in the backyard.

This homeowner decided to turn their outdoor space into a relaxing oasis right at home. In the northwest corner of the yard, a 200 sq. ft. cabana house was built attached to the garage featuring a full bathroom with shower and a gathering room. Two sides are all glass overlooking a hot tub and lap pool just steps outside the doors. And all of it is heated with an Infloor hydronic radiant heating system, including the walkway from the house to the cabana.

Our system is providing hot water to heat the cabana, hot tub, pool, towel warmers, walkway to the house, garage, and pad in front of the garage all year long. The system is powered by natural gas and includes two HTP EFT-199 boilers, brass manifolds, Wilo pressure differential pumps which use 80% less energy, a 2″ hydronic magnetic separator from Caleffi, and an HTP SSU 30 gallon water heater all controlled by a tekmar control system with internet access.

A special thank you to Riddle Mechanical for the quality installation work on this Infloor radiant heating system, and many others.
