How It’s Made: Tubing, Fittings, and Manifolds

Ever wondered how tubing, fittings, and manifolds are manufactured for in-floor heating systems? Thanks to the Science Channel you can view the entire process. The show “How It’s Made” covered this topic in detail, including how the components are used in a radiant heating system. Very cool! Check it out below.

How to Determine the Correct Tube Size and Spacing for Your Project

Tubing is an essential part of every hydronic radiant heating system. Like veins, it transports warm fluid, and the heat output, throughout your floors, turning them into comfortable, warm surfaces. We offer the best PEX and PERT tubing for our hydronic systems, available in a variety of sizes, ranging from 3/8″ to 1″.  These tubes provide excellent performance in radiant applications and provide the system designer with the greatest options for component selection. With five sizes available, how do you know which one is best for your project? These general rules can help.

It is a superior heating method that easily adapts to even further ‘green living’ sustainability with solar and geothermal options available for increased savings.

Snowmelt Season is Here

Winter is quickly closing in, and we are busy designing and providing Snowmelt systems for many of our customers. Here’s a look at an Infloor Snowmelt System currently being installed near Denver. It is a concrete application for a patio that connects the house to the garage.

A Lesson About PERT Tubing

Infloor President, Michael Willburn, recently talked with Nadia Askar from Plumbing & Mechanical Magazine about the benefits of PERT Tubing, which is one of our newest product, called InfloorPERT.

The Simplicity of Tubing Installation with Infloorboard I (VIDEO)

Infloorboard I has so much to offer! One of its many benefits is the simplicity of installing the tubing. We’re so excited about it, we made a fun little video to show you firsthand what the process looks like. We follow an entire supply and return loop, from and back to the manifold (Infloor 1″ brass manifold) and show you how easy it is to connect tubing to the manifold.

Infloor Visits North Dakota

The week of May 19, Infloor Heating Systems President, Michael Willburn, spent two days traveling the great state of North Dakota spreading the word about our company and products. He was accompanied by an Infloor representative for that region, Lorry Stratioti of Walters-Climate, Inc. They covered over 1,100 miles of North Dakota landscape visiting wholesale suppliers, making stops in Fargo, Bismarck, Minot, and Grand Forks. They specifically focused on talking about tubing and electric cable.
