Electric, 110 Volt Warm Floor Heating Kit
The Infloor® Warm Floor Heat Kit takes the chill out of any floor - ceramic, tile, marble - in any room of the house. So every time you step out of a morning shower, walk barefoot across a tile floor in the middle of winter, or take off your snowy boots in the entryway, you'll get a warm welcome from Infloor®.
The Infloor® Warm Floor Kit is designed for remodeling projects and the do-it-yourselfer. Even at lower overall room temperatures, the Infloor Warm Floor Kit can enhance comfort for people in the room.
Benefits/Advantages of the Warm Floor Kit
Infloor's Warm Floor kit is designed to warm your finished floor to a comfortable level. Other benefits are:
• Ideal for bathrooms, entryways, and kitchens.
• Uses energy efficient low-wattage heating cables. The small warm floor kit consumes only 132 watts when in use, just slightly more than a 100-watt light bulb.
• Floor temperature is maintained with a floor-sensing thermostat that senses both floor and room temperatures. An "on-off" switch provides a positive shutoff when no heat is needed.
• 110/120-volt Infloor electric cable is installed directly to wood subfloors then covered with a thin layer of mortar or a self-leveling cement based cementitious underlayment.
• Complete installation instructions are included with each Infloor Warm Floor kit. Care should be taken to read and review the instructions prior to installation. Connect to 110/120v only.
Applications of the Warm Floor Kit
Installs Easily. Performs Economically.
The Infloor Warm Floor Kit installs easily in bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways - whether you're building, remodeling or adding on. The 110/120v electric cables attach quickly to wood or concrete subfloors, and depending on the size of the area, the floor can be wired and ready for installation of floor goods in as little as 60 minutes. With energy-efficient, low-wattage heating cables - the small kit consuming only 132 watts - you'll enjoy luxuriously warm floors throughout your home for just pennies a day.
Floor Covering
The type of floor covering used will have an affect on the performance of radiant floors due to their variety of insulative qualities. The lower the R-value of the floor covering, the better suited for radiant floors.
Do not install the Infloor Warm Floor Kit under carpet, wood or vinyl floor coverings.
The use of marble, tile or wood thresholds will provide a smooth transition from warm floor to unheated floors.

How to size a room for the Warm Floor Kit:
Step 1. Multiply room length by room width to determine total square footage.
Step 2. Subtract areas under cabinets and other areas where cable won't be installed. Also subtract six inches from all perimeter walls. Note: National Electrical Code does not allow installation of electric heating cables in closets or under cabinetry.
Step 3. Now that you know the square footage, find the corresponding kit number in the chart below. |
