The evolution of the Infloor product line is now with the addition of pre-assembled stainless steel manifolds. The high-quality, extremely efficient, and easy-to-install manifolds are a great compliment to the family of Infloor components. And you are going to love the features and benefits!
“We are thrilled to welcome this first-rate addition to our product line, which seems to be a preferred component across the country by contractors,” said Infloor President Michael Willburn. “The completely assembled stainless steel manifolds are crafted in Italy, known for taking great pride in quality, and comes with the mounting brackets already attached, and a built-in integrated flow meter option to further reduce your costs.” READ MORE
June marks the time of year we conduct our annual physical inventory. In order to ensure accuracy of our inventory, and to optimize business operations, managing our inventory is key. This year it will take place on Friday, June 9, at which time Infloor will be closed for regular business.
This process requires us to be closed only one business day. We reopen as usual on Monday, June 12.
We recently found our name in an international publication from Germany. The news about Infloor Heating Systems® and InfloorPERT® being granted the status as Registered Trademarks in the United States made its way to Germany where KWD-globalpipe shared the story. KWD-globalpipe is an international weekly newsletter with news about products, companies, and materials in the field of plastic pipes and fittings, published by HIX Publishing. The publishing house began in 1986 when Winfried Hamich (1938 – 2009) set up an information service with the aim of collecting and supplying market data about plastic material in buildings. Today HIX Publishing issues various newsletters ad market reports regularly.
Tubing is an essential part of every hydronic radiant heating system. Like veins, it transports warm fluid, and the heat output, throughout your floors, turning them into comfortable, warm surfaces. We offer the best PEX and PERT tubing for our hydronic systems, available in a variety of sizes, ranging from 3/8″ to 1″. These tubes provide excellent performance in radiant applications and provide the system designer with the greatest options for component selection. With five sizes available, how do you know which one is best for your project? These general rules can help. READ MORE
We recently came across an article highlighting how Colorado’s most energy efficient home is heated, and found it fascinating. Reliably heating a very small space can be surprisingly challenging. The heating method and source needs to be reliable, consistent, safe, and not over heat the space. One builder faced this challenge head on with fantastic results. Have a look at their story and how they provided the perfect solution.
How do you design a heating system for a home that uses barely any heat?
For builder Andrew Michler, the solution was to keep it as simple as possible. READ MORE
One of our most common and effective installation applications is Therma-Floor, commonly known as a gypcrete. The gypsum underlayment is designed to pour over tubing, encasing the tubes in crack resistant, noncombustible gypsum, acting as the thermal mass. Therma-Floor systems can be used in many different situations, because it can be installed on top of subfloors and concrete slabs, whether existing or new.
Its special formula resists breakdown up to 150ºF (66ºC). And because it’s poured only 1-1/4″ to 1-1/2″ (32 mm to 35 mm) thick, the heating system is more responsive and more comfortable. As a “green” building material, Therma-Floor is an ideal solution for sustainable building projects, and works well with any floor covering. READ MORE
Founded in 1970 as a day of education about environmental issues, Earth Day is now a globally celebrated holiday that is sometimes extended into Earth Week, a full seven days of events focused on green awareness. The brainchild of Senator Gaylord Nelson and inspired by the antiwar protests of the late 1960’s, Earth Day was originally aimed at creating a mass environmental movement. It began as a “national teach-in on the environment” and was held on April 22 to maximize the number of students that could be reached on university campuses. By raising public awareness of air and water pollution, Nelson hoped to bring environmental causes into the national spotlight.
Infloor Heating Systems® are designed with the environment in mind. Our heating systems require lower temperatures to produce the desired results, using less energy, and are made up of extra energy-efficient components and heat sources. Our systems can also be easily tied into solar and geothermal systems for even more efficiency. READ MORE
We are proud to offer radiant heating solutions designed to improve your everyday living and comfort. There are many benefits to Infloor radiant heating. It is energy-efficient, reducing gas and electric bills, eliminates duct work and duct heat losses, creates a quieter home, is a healthier way of living for those with allergies, and provides greater energy management options with zoning. It is a superior heating method that easily adapts to even further ‘green living’ sustainability with solar and geothermal options available for increased savings.
The concept of “radiant floor heating” or under-floor heating has been used for centuries. It can be traced back to the Romans who used a hypocaust, which was a system that heated homes with hot air under the floors. Under-floor radiant heating also has a long history throughout Asia. READ MORE
